Delhi skater wins inline road race Balbir Singh

Chandigarh Club and Skateland Club claimed the senior boys and senior girls roller hockey titles respectively, in the All India Open Sardar Sewa Singh Johal Memorial Roller Skating Gold Cup Championship-2007 at The Banyan Tree School in Sector 48 here today.
Chandigarh Club outclassed Blue Star Roller Skating Club by 16-5 in the senior boys rolleer hockey final. Abhishek (6), Gaurav Raheja (4), Navdeep (3), Arjun Bajwa (2), Amandeep Singh (1) fashibed the winners' facile victory. Blue Star Roller Sakting Club reduced the margin through Gatuam (2), Lovely (1), Babi (1) and Sunny (1).
Skateland Club thrashed Green Grow School of Khanna by 4-0. Jyoti Kaushik made a fine brace for the winners. Gurleen and Sirjana netted one goal each.
Balkirat of Chandigarh excelled in Under-boys Quards Road Race. He outraced a field of 20 skaters to win gold medal by clocking 2:15.00. Nimish and Krishna Murti captured silver and bronze medals respectively.
In the Inline Road Race category, introduced recently, Satinder Pal of Delhi won gold by covering the distance in 3:4:06. Pankaj of Chandigarh and Arka Chatterjee of Delhi finished second and third, respectively.
Former principal of CL DAV School, Panchkula, VP Paul and Chandigarh Olympic Association general secretary Ravinder Talwar jointly distributed the prizes.
