A fine opening partnership of 125-run in 13 overs by Abhishek Mehta and Akshdeep Singh helped Bharti Vij Cricket Academy defeat 37 Academy by 83 runs in LIC Trophy at Saint Soldier's International School in Sector 28 here today.
Bharti Vij Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first, opener scored 125 runs in 13 overs, Akshdeep scored 46 in 44 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes. The other opener Abhishek posted a 40-ball 67 with the help of 12 fours and two sixes. Bharti Vij Academy scored 267 for 4 in 30 overs, Gurdeep Singh contributed 66 in 38 balls with six fours and five sixes. Sourav made 32 in 35 balls, Rizul 34 in 22 balls.Tushar Garg took 2 for 36 and Sayyim 2 for 47.
In reply 37 Academy lost early wickets and were all out 184 in 28 overs, Kulbhushan made 50 in 49 balls with seven fours and Sayyim scored 39 in 18 with 6 fours and one six. The Bharti Vij Academy bowlers bowled superbly and 37 aAcademy got all out at 184 in 28 overs. Diyvanshu Sharma got 2 for 25, Vivek Sharma 2 for 20 and Abhishek Mehta 1 for 22 in 6 overs.
