The Uttrakhand will host the North Zone Junior Athletic Championship in at Dehradoon from August 1 to 3 and the Federation Cup National Junior at Luknow (UP) from August 24 to 26.
The Haryana State Junior Athletic teams will take part in these championships. The competition-cum-selection trials will be held at Teeka Ram Jat College Grounds in Sonipat on July 5 and 6 to select the Haryana state junior team to take part in these meets in the age groups of 20, 18, 16 and 14 years in both the sections, according to H S Bhadu, Secretary HSAA.
Bhadu said that the competition/selection trials of the girls in all section will be held on July 5 at Sonipat and competition/trials for boys in all sections will be held on July 6. The athletes should report on the competition day at 8 am for registrations to Rajiv Khatri, Secretary DAA along with original certificate of age proof and the I/D card issued by AFI.
Selection of athletes will be made on the basis of their performance during the competition/trials and meet the laid down standards of AFI and HSAA. Only those athletes will be permitted to take part in the competitions/trials, whose names will be sponsored by their respective district units/board and institutions.
