Second win for 37 Cricket Academy

37 Cricket Academy maintained their winning spree by defeating DAV Senior Secondary School Academy, Sector 8 in the Ind-SwiftTrophy Inter-Academy Cricket Tournament for Under-15 being organised by Desh Prem Azad Cricket Academy at the MCM DAV College Ground in Sector 36 here today. It was second successive win for 37 Academy while DAVSSS Academy suffered their second loss.
In the second match played at the St Stephen's School ground in Sector 45, APJ Kharar outplayed Satluj Public School Academy of Panchkula by seven wickets.
DAV Academy batting first posted 171 before their innings terminated in 26.3 overs. Arvind Chauhan displayed his batting skills by scoring 52 runs with the help of nine boundaries. Raman (33) and Kunal (29) were their other main contributors. Kulbhushan bowed a superb line and in his economical spell captured five wickets for 25 runs.
In reply 37 Cricket Academy achived their target by scoring 172 for 8 in 29 overs. Shyam Kumar and Arun Kumar mainly guided their team to victory by scoring 45 and 42 runs, respectively. They reached the fence six times each. Devinder Singh (12) and Arohi Sharma (not out 11) also contributed their share in victory.
Nishan Verma (3 for 53), Vikas Chechi (2 for 23) and Arvind Chauhan (2 for 44) were the most successful bowlers for DAVSSS Academy.
In the second match, Satluj Public School Academy scored 144 in 29.2 overs against APJ Academy. The highlight of their innings was a 45-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Vaneet Dhaka (77 in 60 balls) and Subhir (23). Their innings was restricted by Karanveer (3 for 40), Anmol (2 for 4), Sarthik (2 for 20).
APJ easily achieved the target in 19.3 overs by scoring 145 for 3. The victory was made possible due to a 70-run second wicket partnership between Harmanjeet (53 in 40 balls) and Anmol (47 in 30 balls).
