Shine shines in MCA victory in Ind-Swift Cricket

Mohali Cricket Academy qualified for semi-final after trouncing Shree Shree Cricket Academy of Panchkula by six wickets in the Ind-Swift Under-15 Inter-Academy Cricket Tournament being conducted by Desh Prem Azad Cricket Academy here today.
Shree Shree Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first. They compiled a total of 135 before being dismissed in 33.5 overs. Their top scorer Harshit (28) and Saurav (17) were associated in a 30-run partnership for the opening wicket stand. Pawan made 19 while Gaurav Mittal remained not out on 16.
Bowling with an economical spell, Amritpal Singh restricted Shree Shree Academy total by consuming half of their side (5 for 29). He was given good support by Ripudaman (3 for 26) and Jasinder (2 for 33).
MCA did not encounter any resistance to overtake their rivals total. Bolstered by a polished unbeaten knock of 62 by Shine Sharma, Mohali Cricket Academy replied with a total of 139 for four in just 20 overs. Shine Sharma's innings was studded with eight boundaries. Shine Sharma was associated in a 56-runs opening wicket partnership with Amaninder Singh (19).
After the departure of Amaninder, Sehajdeep (23) joined Shine and both realised 47 runs for the second wicket stand. Kinderpreet also contributed 23 runs.
Amandeep of Shree Shree Academy bagged two wickets for 23 runs.
Yesterday, Desh Prem Azad Academy and MCM Blue Caps had qualified for the semi-finals.
