Punjab Cricket Club defeated Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited by five wickets in the JP Atray Memorial All-India Cricket Tournament at the PCA Stadium in Mohali today.
PCC restricted BPCL to 268 for 6 in 50 overs Their Innings revolved Onkar Khanvilkar (111, 12x4s, 1x6) and skipper Vineet Indulkar (51, 4x4s, 1x6). Uday Kaul (31) and Shitanshu Kotak (29 n.o) were the other contributors with the bat. Jaskaran Singh (3 for 57) and Vishwas Bhalla (2 for 24) was the main wicket takers for PCC.
Replying PCC raised 271 for 5 in 46.3 overs . Raviinder Singh (75, 10x4s) and Pankaj Dhrmani (52 not out, 5x4s) and Mayank Sidhana (75, 8x4s, 2x6) were the main architect of PCC run chase from a score 139 for 5 in 27.5 overs.
Pankaj Dharmani and Mayank Sidhana were associated in an unbeaten 132 runs partenership for the sixth wicket. Siraj Bahutukle (2 for 50) was the main wicket taker for BPCL Mayank Sidhana was name Man of The Match
At the DAV School ground in Sector 8, Indian Oil Corporation defeated ITC by 91 runs and got five points, including a bonus. ITC wining the toss put Indian Oil in to bat. Indian Oil scored 293 for 5 in 50 overs. From 71 for 4 Indian Oil Corporation raised their total t 226 for 5 with Ravikant Shukla (89 ) and Aditya Tare 102, 12x4s, 1x6) stitching a partnership of 155 runs for the fifth wicket. Aditya Tare shared another unbeaten partnership of 67 runs with Amit Dani (43, 2x4s, 4x6s). Himanshu Chawla (2 for 35) and Tushar Pant (2 for 60) were the main wicket takers.
Replying ITC were bowled out 202 in 42.5 overs. Their innings revolved around a brilliant century 101 of 113 balls with help of 13 fours and 2 sixes by Pankaj Joshi. Anand Rajan (3 for 33) and Rajesh Pawar (4 for 48) were the main wicket takers for Indian Oil . Aditya Tare was declared the Man of the match
In another match Air India defeated PCA Colts by three wickets . Batting first PCA Colts scored 156 for 9 in 50 overs Sarabjit Singh (48) and Robin Singh (28) were the principal scorers for the PCA Colts.
Gagandeep (3 for 28) and Sachin Rana (2 for 34) were the main wicket takers for Air India .
Replying Air India scored 159 for 7 in 45.2 overs. Their innings was propelled by an unbeaten 71 of 98 balls with 8 fours and 1 six by Ratinder Sodhi. Sachin Rana (23) was an able foil to him. Bharat Loomba (4 for 15) and Harmeet Singh (2 for 39) were the main wicket takers for PCA Colts. Ratinder Sodhi declared Man of the match
