The Selection Committee of Punjab Badminton Association has chosen the following players who will represent the state in the Senior National Badminton Championships being held at Guwahati from January 6 to 10 next year, according to association secretary Rajinder Kalsi.
The team: Men's singles: Opinder Pal Singh (Jalandhar), Mayank Behl (Amritsar), Lakhwinder Singh (Ludhiana), Prateek Mahajan (Amritsar), Navdeep Singh (Jalandhar), Harinder Singh (Patiala).
Women's singles: Damanpreet Kaur (Sangruru), Saniya Sareen (Amritsar), Dilpreet Kaur (Jalandhar) and Jaspreet Kaur (Jalandhar).
T.S. Walia and Harjinder Singh will accompany the team as manager and coach, respectively.
