The cut was declared at 10 over 154. Thirty-six professionals made the cut.
Rajiv Kumar Jatiwal (71-73) made two birdies against three bogeys in his round of 73. Rajiv, the overnight joint leader, got off to a brilliant start with a birdie on the first where he chipped his third shot to within two feet. He then dropped bogeys on the seventh and eighth to make the turn at one over.
Jatiwal signed off with birdie-bogey on the 16th and 17th. The Chandigarh golfer hit his tee shot to within five feet of the pin to set up a birdie on the par three 16th.
Shaurya Singh (71-74) of the Army Golf Course, Delhi Cantonment, is placed second at one over 145. Shaurya’s round of two over 74 on Wednesday featured two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey.
Karanjit Singh Sandhu lies third at two over 146.
Even though Monish Bindra of the Noida Golf Course missed the cut with a total of 12 over 156, his round of 75 that featured two eagles was one of the highlights of day two.
Bindra sank eagles on the second and the 14th in round two to repeat the feat he had achieved at a tournament in Mumbai last year. The Noida-based golfer holed his second shot from 47 yards on the second and chipped-in from the edge on the 14th.
