Uttrakhand and Orissa are through to the quarter-final league by topping their respective clusters in the 47th Junior Under-19 National Football Championship for Dr B C Roy Trophy in Kolkata.
According to information received here, Uttrakhand maintained their unbeaten record in Cluster IV after blanking Arunachal Pradesh by 4-0 in their last preliminary cluster round fixture. They had earlier beaten Jammu and Kashmir by 5-0 and Jharkhand 3-1.
In an academic match in the same cluster,Jharkhand defeated Jammu and Kashmir by 4-0.
Orissa also made the quarter-final grade at the expense of Maharashtra whom they beat by a 4-0 margin in their crucial cluster II match. It was their third successive victory and emerged cluster champs. They had earlier recorded victories against Andhra Pradesh by 4-0 and Haryana by 1-0. On the other hand, Maharashtra got the better of Haryana by 2-1 and Andhra Pradesh by 2-0.
Earlier, Chandigarh (Cluster III) and defending champions Karnataka (Cluster I) had qualified for the quarter-final league.
