JALANDHAR, AUG 19
Abhinav Manota claimed the men’s singles title after beating Dautl Chauhan by 21-14,21-16 in the final of the Jalandhar District Badminton Championship at the Raizada Hans Raj Stadium here today. The men’s doubles title was lifted by Opinderpal Singh and Neeraj Bansal who got the better of Bhaskar Chakarborty and Surinder Rathi by 21-18,15-21, 21-18 in the final.
Winner of the women’s singles crown, Rajwinder Kaur went on to capture the women’s doubles title as she partnered Pushpinder Kaur to defeat Dilpreet Kaur by 21-17, 21-17 in the women doubles final.
Results (all finals): Men’s singles: Abhinav Manota bt Datul Chauhan 21-14, 21-16. Doubles: Opinderpal Singh and Neeraj Bansal bt Bhaskar Chakarborty and Surinder Rathi 21-18,15-21, 21-18.
Women’s doubles: Rajwinder Kaur and Pushpinder Kaur bt Dilpreet Kaur and Jaspreet Kaur 21-17, 21-17.
