Varinder's ton helps Deep Engg beat Godrej & Boyce

Varinder smashed a quick 101 runs off 72 deliveries to help Deep Engg defeat Godrej & Boyce XI by three wickets in a league match of the Vth MG Cup League Cricket Tournament, organised by the Chandigarh Sports Club here at JRICT, Barwala.
Batting first after winning the toss, Godrej & Boyce XI scored 199 runs in  25 overs. Gaurav Tandon was the highest scorer with 86 runs. Inderjeet and Sanjay Ahuja chipped in with  51 and 37, respectively. Gopal bagged 2 for 31.
In reply, Varinder provided a solid start to the Deep Engg chase with the opening partnership worth 98 runs. Varinder's 101 contained 15 boundaries and 2 sixes. Sharn was the second highest scorer with 32 runs. Naresh Dhingra picked up 2 wickets for 38 runs.

In the second match Dell XI crushed Sigma XI by 8 wickets.
