AG Punjab claim North Zone Audit Cricket

CHANDIGARH, FEB 21 
 Account General of Punjab routed AG Haryana by five wickets in the finals of North Zone Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IA&AD) Cricket Tournament here today.
AG Haryana won the toss and elected to bat first. AG Haryana scored 185 for 9 in allotted 40 overs. Opener Gourav Ganbir was in good form and scored 117 (116b) with the help of 4 boundaries . His innings came to end when he was stumped by left arm spinner Navdeep Singh. 
One down batsman Suraj scored 28 runs and Jatinder chipped in with 15 runs. Navdeep Singh of AG Punjab bowled with nagging line and length and captured 3 wickets for 30 runs in his full quota of 8 overs. Yogesh Sharma (1/18), Amit Kakria (1/33) and Rajiv (1/31) also bowled well to restrict AG Haryana.
In reply the AG Punjab batsmen came good and chase the target in 36.3 overs losing 5 wickets. Opener Manoj Rajan scored 30 runs before he got out to Gourav Gambir. Amit Kakria (44) and southpaw Arun Tuli (53) were involved in 55- run partnership .
Later Rakesh Sethi chipped in with valuable 23 runs and remained unbeaten. For AG Haryana Gourav Gambir (3/40) was the main wicket taker. Gulab Rubani and Parveen Kumar got one wicket each.
Former Indian cricketer Dinesh Mongia gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up.
