Jalandhar, Bangalore and Bhopal colleges win

JALANDHAR, FEB 20 
Local Lyallpur Khalsa College, Al-Ameen College of  Bangalore and Jawaharlal Nehru PG College from Bhopal won their league matches in the  18th SAIL-Nehru Champions College Hockey Tournament at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today.
In Pool B Al Ameen College registered their second successive victory by beating Municipal College of Rourkela by 4-2. The highlight of the match was a fine hat-trick by Naveen Kumar who struck in 31st, 51st and 55th minutes.  Rafeeq had earlier give lead to the Bangalore team in the 12th minute. For Rourkela Sanjay and Suman Kujur scored  in the 29th and 59th minutes to reduce the  margin (4-2).
Displaying good hockey Jawaharlal Nehru College of Bhopal outplayed Loyola College of Chennai by 4-0 for heir second successive victory. The winners scored through Kamlesh Rai (3rd minute), Kashalendra Singh (22nd) and Vikas Choudhary (28th and 45).
 Lyallpur Khalsa College of Jalandhar rained goals against Jamia Malia Islamia of Delhi as thr recorded a fluent 7-0 verdict. Jasjeet Singh Kullar(48th and 67th minutes) and Gurjit Singh (4th and 53rd) contributed a brace each.  Navneesh Kumar (20th), Jaspreet Singh (28th) and  Jagroop Singh (62nd)  scored one goal each to swell the victory margin of  Lyallpur Khalsa College.
