Indian Oil , Air India and ONGC wins

After the opening day wash out the organizers were able to get through three reduced over matches. At the GMSSS  ground in Sector 26 Ground a 28-over game  was played between holders ONGC and Mohit  XI in the18th All-India JP Atray Cricket Tournament for Pearls Trophy here today.
Winning the toss ONGC skipper Sandeep Sharma opted to bat. They were off to a rollicking start as they put on 92 runs for the opening wicket in 14.2 overs with skipper Sandeep Sharma leading from the front and blasting 48 runs off 36 balls studded with 5x4s and 1x6 before being trapped in front by Rahul Tewetya. Tanmay Srivastava was the next to go being run out by Amit Uniyal – Puneet Bisht combine for 40 off 53 balls. Radhey Shyam (unbeaten 38)  and former Test star Ajay Ratra ( unbeaten  24) put on an unfinished stand of 67 runs for the 5th wicket. ONGC scored 178 for 4 in the allotted 28 overs. 
Rahul Tewetiya (1 for 31) and Shreyas Karnolkar (1 for 15) were the successful bowlers for Mohit  XI. 
 Replying Mohit  XI were bowled out for 141 in 27.5 overs. Manan Sharma  (27),  J.P.Yadav (23) and Yashpal Singh (16) were the main scorers for Mohit  XI.  Manan Sharma and J.P. Yadav put on 50 runs for the 3rd wicket. Thereafter it was a regular procession to and fro from the pavilion.
Sohail Sharma bowled an accurate spell capturing 5 wickets for 20 runs off 5 overs. He was ably supported by Sumit Narwal (2 for 5 )and Parvinder Awana  (2 for 17.) ONGC won by 37 runs and got 5 points including a bonus and Mohit XI  got  (-1) for conceding a bonus. Sohail Sharma got  Man of the match Award.
Brief scores: NGC: 178 for 4 in 28 overs (Sandeep Sharma  48, Tanmay Srivastava  40, Radhey Shayam 38 not out and Ajay Ratra 24 not out, Rahul Tewetiya 1 for 31 and Shreyas Karnolkar  1 for 15).
Mohit  XI:  141 all out in 27.5 overs (Manan Sharma  27 , J.P.Yadav 23 and Yashpal Singh 16, Sohail Sharma  5 for 20 , Sumit Narwal 2 for 25 and Parvinder Awana 2 for 17).
 In the second match played at Cricket Stadium Sector 16, Air India defeated MLG  XI by 12 runs in a match reduced to 20 overs. Winning the toss Air India scored 135 all out in 20 overs. Chandan Madan (36), Deepak Joon  (23) and Shafiq Khan ()28 were the main run getters for Air India.
Medium pacer Siddharth Kaul (5 for 22) and Sharad Lumba (2 for 14) were the main wicket takers for MLG  XI.
Replying MLG – XI were restricted to 123 for 7 in 20 overs. They were well served by Ankur Kakkar 46 and Sharad Lumba 36.  They were involved in a 78 runs 4th wicket stand off 68 balls. Siddharth Trivedi 4 for 18 was instrumental in restricting the MLG XI ‘s  innings. For this performance Siddharth Trivedi won the Man of the match Award. Air India logged 4 points for this win

MLG XI: 123 for 7 in 20 overs (Ankur Kakkar 46 and Sharad Lumba 36, Siddharth Trivedi 4 for 18).
 At St John's School, Indian Oil Corporation got the better of Tripura Cricket Association by 22 runs and logged 4 points.
Tripura winning the toss opted to field and restricted Indian Oil to 154 for 5 in allotted 20 overs.  They were well served by opener Paresh Patel who hit a quickfire half century  (51, 3x4s, 3x6s) . Mithun Berala (22), Bharvesh Shetty (26) were the other notable contributors. 
For Tripura Tushar Saha (2 for 16) was the most successful bowler.
Replying Tripura were restricted to  132 for 8 in 20 overs enabling Indian Oil to record a 22-run win.  Rajesh Banik (34), Kaushal Acharjee (23) were the main run getters for Tripura. Paresh Patel (2 for 16, 51) put up an all-round performance and got Man of the match Award.

Tripura: 132 for 8 in 20 overs (Rajesh Banik  34, Kaushal Acharjee 23, Paresh Patel 2 for 16).
