MC claim Air Force Football Trophy

CHANDIGARH, MAY 4 

 Maintenance Command (MC) emerged champions after beating Training Command (TC) by 2-1 in the final of the Air Force Football Championship at  3 Base Repair Depot (3BRD) Air Force Station here today.

For the MC team PS Rawat and L Kipgen scored one goal each in 88th  and  105th minutes respectively.  For the TC team RK Rautela scored in the 16th minute.  

 Central Air Command (CAC) blanked Eastern Air Command (EAC) by 2-0 and achieved the third position.  For Central Air Command (CAC) Kipgen and LI Singh scored one goal each in 29th and 43rd minutes, respectively. 

 Air Vice Marshal Satyendra Kumar Assistant Chief of Air Staff Education (ACAS Edn) Air HQ , New Delhi gave away the prizes and declared the championship closed.   Stephen has been declared the best player of the tournament.  The most promising goalkeeper title went  to by Md Anees of SWAC.  Sunil Sunny of CAC was adjudged the most promising defender of the tournament.
