First FIDE rated chess for Haryana players

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 21
Pushan Chess Club, Bhiwani, under the aegis of The Haryana Chess Association, is organising a FIDE (World Chess Federation) Rated Chess Tournament at Bhiwani from June 28  to 1st July 1 at Central Hall Vaish College, Bhiwani for Haryana Players to increase chess abilities in them.
Haryana Chess Association general secretary Naresh Sharma  said that this is the first time in the history of chess that a FIDE Rated Tournament is being organised for  the Haryana players only. The tournament will conclude in 10 rounds.
Himanshu Sharma, the only IM (International Master) of Haryana, has already given his consent for the tournament. The tournament carries cash prizes of Rs. 65,000.  Further details are available with Pawan Kaushik, General Secretary of Bhiwani Distt. Chess Federation at cell No. 9416977145.
